Holiday Break
School will not be in session from December 21st through January 2nd. Please note that we will be providing full-day instruction on Monday, December 19thand Tuesday, December 20th and that school will not be in session on Monday, January 2nd. All of us at Blue Oak wish you a safe and refreshing holiday season.
Lunch Program News
VERY IMPORTANT REMINDER: If your child does not come to school and has a lunch ordered, please call the office (879-7483) by 8:30am to request that lunch cancelled. In November, the school had over 300 meals that could not be served to absent children with orders that were not cancelled. This equates to more than $1,100 that the school is unable to claim reimbursement for. Please help us reduce both the food waste and financial liability.
Also… Big changes coming in February – more details will follow soon. Due to rising costs of the online ordering system, it is being retired effective February 1st. We will transition to a paper menu ordering and payment system. You will be able to order your child’s January meals on the existing system, but must place your February order on paper submitted to the office with applicable payment (by check or cash only). February menus will be distributed in the first week of January and will be due mid-month.
2012-13 Kindergarten Enrollment
It is time to enroll your Kindergartener! We are beginning to form the classes for next year and will need to know how many spots will be filled by siblings. If you have a child ready for Kindergarten in the Fall of 2012 (5 years old by November 1st, 2012), please submit your Admission Form to the office as soon as possible. The forms are available at the front desk. Thank you for your help in gathering this important information.
