We Need Your Help!
Dear Blue Oak Parents,
It’s pretty straightforward—times are tough and we need your help.
We have been spending the school’s money to pay for the construction of our new site; this has left us without much. We are committed towards bringing Waldorf Education to our community. We will continue to provide fine and natural quality school materials, specialty teachers who teach Japanese, Spanish, Music, Strings, Woodworking and Handwork. For the sustainability of these programs we rely annually on our parents, their relatives and the greater community. Please give us your time and or money for the items below. We ask that all parents donate at least 50 hours a year volunteering for the school.
What we really need (in order of priority):
- Money for the general fund of the school (Donate online through Annie B's – Last Day is Sept. 30) Or Sign up for monthly electronic transfers from your banking account. Print out authorization form from our website and return it to our Business Manager Linda Hovey.
- Playground equipment – Thank You Moby Wrap for donating a swing set and monkey bars!! We still need more playground equipment!! We also have a separate account for those wanting to give money directly to the playground equipment budget.
- Electric Ovens - Thank Tiffany Wilhelm for donating an oven for our Kindergarten classes!! We still need at least one more!
- Sky Light(s) for the Eighth Grade classroom
- Choroi Pentatonic Flutes
- Wood floors for eurhythmy
Please Note: The priority list above is an attempt to give direction. Everything is important and we warmly accept whatever it is you have to give!
Volunteer Positions
Parking assistants each morning. – This may only continue until we figure out a better system of morning drop off.
Office help in the afternoon (30 min. daily). – This may lead into a part time job.
