The camp will be offered Monday–Friday from 9am to 2:15p and will include:

• arts & crafts
• games
• activities/movement
• swimming
• socialization/teamwork
• exploration
• community park project, and more!

Closing ceremonies will be held in the school yard on Friday June 18 at 11am; families are invited to attend!

There will be fun for the whole family including live music, crafts, games, a marketplace and of course the May Pole dance.

A delicious lunch will be offered for $7 for adults, $3 for kids. Bring your own plate, cup and silverware for a food discount!

• May Fair Planning Meeting: 1:30 pm in the Parent Guild Office, Corrdinated by Kelly Angel and Stacey DeLatorres
• Parent Education Night: 6-7:30 pm. George Hoffecker, an experienced Waldorf consultant with special guest Else Gottkins, our visiting mentor teacher. Free childcare provided!

• Siblings get priority but must have a completed application to be enrolled.
• Application deadline for Kindergarten is March 1.
• Our lottery will be held on March 15th and all parents will be notified within 48 hours, if you are not notified and turned in an application please call the school.
• We are anticipating next year's First grade classes to be 26-28 students and we plan to have aides in the First Grade.
• We are committed to having our Kindergarten classes at 20 students for the 2010-2011 school year.

Starting at 5pm - We will have a Kindergarten forum with Susan Whittlesey addressing the sense life in the Kindergarten Child.

Then starting at 6:30pm Blue Oak teacher Shannon O'Laughlin and Games teacher Daebin Gilmore share their insights into the importance of Movement in the Waldorf curriculum.

Your child’s teacher will have posted a list of grade level appropriate books that will make wonderful additions to our library. This list is also available in the binder on the back counter of the library. Please use this list as a guideline for books you would like to gift.

What better way to celebrate a child’s birthday than with a book donated in their name to the Blue Oak Charter School Library? Book plates are being made so that your child can give a gift to the school in honor of their birthday. What a wonderful Blue Oak tradition!

As space is limited in our library, we have to be selective about what books can be shelved. Please consult the list provided by your child’s teacher. Also, the Chinaberry Catalog is another excellent resource. If you have questions about a book that may not be on the Blue Oak list, please consult with Tiffany Wilhelm (tiffwilhelm@yahoo.com or 343-1113) or Carol Fegte. Also, if you would like to volunteer in our library to help catalog books or straighten the shelves, please contact Tiffany or Carol.
