Aftercare Program

Our Aftercare Program is an after-school Waldorf inspired program designed to serve Blue Oak families who need child care after normal school hours. We provide a safe nurturing environment for children through recreation, personal care and attention.

Aftercare hours: 12:15-5:30 daily 

Our program is self-funded, meaning it typically breaks even. Our expenses include: having highly qualified aftercare providers, the lease of the aftercare space, nutritious snacks provided to the children, covering delinquent/unpaid accounts, and the personnel needed for accounting and billing services.

We have a 15 minute grace period for parents to pick up their children. The 15 minute “grace” period begins at the end of school. If you are unable to pick your child up within the first 15 minutes, your child’s teacher will escort them to aftercare.

Once the children are in aftercare we will charge $2.50 for the first half hour and $2.50 for each half hour thereafter.

Parents must sign out children upon picking them up from aftercare. Pick up is no later than 5:30pm! If you are running late, please call the school to ease our worries about you. Also be prepared to pay the late fee! The late fee for late pick-ups is $10.00 per half hour, per child.

Note: If you’re later than 15 minutes we will call you and your emergency contacts to have your child picked up. If we can’t reach anyone and you are more than an hour late, we will call the police or sheriff.

Please don’t be late, and update your emergency contact list!

Payment

Invoices/statements will be sent out at the beginning of each month. You will be invoiced for the previous month (if applicable).

The aftercare program is considered a drop-in program. As a courtesy and added safety please connect with your child’s teacher on the day your child will attend aftercare.

Aftercare pick up is located in room 5, however, please check the playground if your child(ren) is/are not in the classroom.
